Dr Aisha Ali is a BPS Chartered Consultant Counselling Psychologist with over 15 years experience of working within the NHS in complex care and private practice. Aisha provides Islamic Counselling, premarital, personal and Islamic marriage therapy and coaching to individuals, couples and families presenting with complex psychological and emotional issues.

Aisha is passionate about coaching clients on their life journey and is dedicated to empowering her clients by integrating the spiritual aspects of their faith, life values and psychological well-being. She is committed to devising successful treatment plans and achieving goals. Aisha prides herself in building open, collaborative and non judgmental relationships with er clients. The key to her practise is her compassion and dedication in helping people to build emotional resilience and endeavours to help people master emotional resilience in relationships, spiritual and physical health. She pays close attention to how an individual’s culture and spirituality affects their worldview, meaning and sense-making and interpersonal dynamics as well as the mind-body connection.

Aisha incorporates an individual’s spiritual, cultural beliefs to work at the root cause of an individual’s difficulties and equipping her clients with the necessary skills needed to be emotionally strong, proactive and decisive.
Aisha works with individuals, adolescents, couples and families and uses the most up to date evidence-based approaches that have been proven to be most effective to inform her practice delivering treatments with powerful results.

Aisha has a special interest in working with depression, anxiety disorders, emotional disorders, autism, ADHD, borderline and personality disorders, eating disorders, trauma, relationship difficulties, body dysmorphic disorder, anger, fear of public speaking, transcultural issues and addictions. Aisha’s philosophy is that many people’s problems are emotional in nature whether in their personal or professional lives. She has an in-depth understanding of the relationship between spiritual and psychological issues and their impact on dysfunctional relationship patterns, deep-seated issues and helps people to break out of these cycles.

She has provided Islamic Counselling and coaching to people with a wide range of difficulties with varying degrees of severity with depression and anxiety disorders such as, OCD, PTSD, Panic disorder, phobias, addictions, Bereavement, Abuse, Anger Management, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD), Binge Eating, Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), Bulimia Nervosa, Chronic Pain, Gambling Addiction, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Games and Internet addictions, Infertility, insomnia and Sleep Problems, Panic Disorder, Phobias, Personality Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Personal Development, Self Esteem, Stress and Burnout, Substance Abuse and dependency, Transitional difficulties, Work Problems and psychosis.

Aisha is multi-lingual and can provide Islamic therapy in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and is learning Arabic. Aisha has a wide understanding of various cultures and faiths and also offers Skype online counselling worldwide.
